Transfer Credit / Course Waivers
With the approval of the program advisor and/or transfer review committee, graduate work
completed on a satisfactory level (minimum grade of “B-”) at other institutions may be counted
toward a Graduate College degree if it contributes to the completion of degree requirements.
Credits transfer in, but grades do not. Waivers refer to selected required (“core”) courses.
Transfers refer only to graduate courses taken at another institution that have not been used as
part of a degree at that institution. Transfers do not have to correspond to a specific course at the
College, but must be relevant to the degree program. Course catalog descriptions and syllabi,
when available and if deemed necessary, are evaluated for stated or implied learning objectives
to determine equivalency to the core content of UGC courses for waivers or for relevancy to the
degree program for transfers. Courses are also transferable internally from certificate programs
to degree programs (Chapter 13). The student may decline any pre-approved waivers/transfers.
Matriculated students are notified at time of admission of pre-approved waivers and transfers.
Students who want to appeal this decision and request a further review should submit their
request in writing to the Director of Admissions and Registrar or their academic advisor. Course
outlines and descriptions to complete these reviews may be required. The Director will request
that review and notify the student of the results. For information on specific rules, go to that
schools program page.

The ease of transition into the graduate program was what initially caught my attention. It gave me the opportunity to explore a potential career path while I was still completing my undergraduate degree. The MBA in Healthcare Management courses I took as an undergraduate helped me to define my career goals, relieving a lot of the pressure a senior can feel when trying to identify a post graduate path
