Two Alumni Selected for Capital
District Business Review’s 2012 “40 Under Forty”
Congratulations to Melanie Madden, MAT’06, and Scott
Gilbert, MBA’00, for being named to the Capital District Business Review’s 2012
“40 Under 40.”
More than 500 professionals were nominated for
this year’s “40 Under Forty” award. In its 13th year, the Business
Review taps a panel of business leaders to select 40 emerging business leaders,
all under the age of 40.
Madden, a former Spanish teacher at Niskayuna
High School, is the Director of Marketing and Publicity at JR Sports Enterprises,
the company of local sports agent JR Rickert. In her role, Madden coordinates
appearances and events for NFL players and handles social media for the firm.
Gilbert is Chief Operating Officer for
Cornerstone Telephone, a Troy-based firm delivering advanced
communication and networking systems for businesses of all sizes. Established
in 2001, CornerStone has over 90 employees and 10,000 customers in New York,
Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and is recognized by the Business Review as one
of the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work.
