Student and Alumni Career ServicesUnion Graduate College Career Services is dedicated to providing a variety of individualized and customized services to assist both online and on-campus students with achieving your career goals. Check out some of the ways we can help:
Individual Career AppointmentsMeet with a career professional to discuss any issue related to building and advancing your career. Meetings are held face-to-face, by phone, over Skype, or through other forms of appropriate technology. To schedule an appointment, email both of our career professionals with background information on the career issue you’d like to discuss, and whether you would prefer to meet onsite or online.
Resume, Cover Letter & Communications CritiquesAre you applying for a fellowship and need someone to provide feedback on your personal statement? Are you struggling with writing that thank you letter to your interviewer? We provide critiques on just about any document you need to write for your career, including resumes and cover letters. Email your document to Career Consultant Ed Hallenbeck at firstname.lastname@example.org with an explanation of your career goals and the type of position you are seeking.
Mock InterviewsDuring mock interviews, you will be asked a variety of interview questions and provided with helpful feedback over Skype. Phone interviews can also be scheduled to provide practice for the phone screening interview. In some cases, this is the initial interview that can determine whether a second, face-to-face interview is warranted. Email Career Consultant Ed Hallenbeck at email@example.com to schedule your mock interview and include an updated resume.
Career Webinars & WorkshopsCareer Services provides a series of career webinars and workshops on common and timely topics related to building and advancing your career. All webinars and workshops are interactive in nature, giving you an opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenter and participants. They’re also great ways of meeting other students and alumni, and expanding your network of contacts.
